Abe Contreras serves as Senior Vice President of Technology and Digital Transformation for Senior Lifestyle, where he has served for more than ten years. He oversees enterprise technology operations, including cybersecurity, infrastructure, telecommunications, business systems, data platforms, analytics, and AI enablement. Abe leads technology capital planning, risk governance, compliance frameworks, and large-scale system integrations, ensuring technology strategy directly supports operational performance, regulatory requirements, and long-term enterprise value creation.

Abe is currently leading the development of Senior Lifestyle’s enterprise AI framework, working to establish the governance structures, evaluation criteria, and implementation standards that will guide responsible AI adoption across the organization. He partners with business leaders to identify and prioritize AI use cases with the potential to drive measurable operational value — from intelligent automation and predictive analytics to enhanced resident and workforce experiences — ensuring each initiative aligns with the organization’s risk posture, data governance requirements, and strategic priorities.

In his role, Abe partners closely with executive leadership, legal counsel, asset management, finance, and operations to align digital strategy with fiscal discipline and growth objectives. He has led enterprise platform transitions, acquisition integrations, cloud data modernization initiatives, and the development of governed analytics ecosystems. His leadership philosophy centers on scalability, security, measurable performance metrics, and disciplined capital allocation — bringing a rigorous blend of operational execution, governance oversight, and strategic digital leadership grounded in deep technical expertise and enterprise-scale experience.

Prior to joining Senior Lifestyle, Abe held senior technology leadership roles at Pearson, where he managed North America data center operations, and at Career Education Corporation, where he led distributed technology teams supporting operations across the United States. Abe earned a Bachelor of Science in Network and Communications Management from DeVry University, graduating Magna Cum Laude.
